EXHIBITION "26 YEARS OF THE MASTER PLAN FOR THE CATHEDRAL OF OVIEDO (1996-2022)"

The Association of Quantity Surveyors and Technical Architects of Asturias is organising a temporary exhibition from 11 October 2023 to 14 January 2024, curated by the architect Jorge Hevia Blanco, co-director of the Master Plan for Oviedo Cathedral. The Cathedral Chapter, Oviedo City Council and the Government of the Principality of Asturias through the Archaeological Museum of Asturias are collaborating in its production. The aim is to disseminate the projects and interventions that have been carried out over the last 26 years to conserve and restore Oviedo Cathedral, to publicise its cultural contents and to give an account of the public - Government of Spain, Government of the Principality of Asturias - and private investments made.

The exhibition, which consists of 22 panels and the exhibition of nine medieval sculptural pieces from the collection of the Oviedo Cathedral Chapter, recovered in the various archaeological actions carried out as part of the actions programmed in the Master Plan.

A catalogue has been published with the full contents of the panels.

Accompanying the exhibition, a series of lectures will be held in the auditorium of the Archaeological Museum of Asturias. Admission is free until full capacity is reached.
