BIBLICAL CULTURE IN THE KINGDOM OF ASTURIAS FROM THE EIGHTH TO THE TENTH CENTURIES 

The Archaeological Museum of Asturias and the Library of the University of Oviedo are organising a temporary exhibition entitled "Biblical culture in the kingdom of Asturias during the 8th to 10th centuries", in collaboration with the Monastery of San Pelayo in Oviedo. It will be open from Wednesday 10 April until 16 June 2024 in the temporary exhibition hall of the Archaeological Museum of Asturias.

In connection with the exhibition, on 11 and 12 April 2024 a Scientific Conference will be held at the Museum, with four lectures and the presentation of a book.

Thursday, 11 April

17:00. Presentation of the book Glossae cavenses. Biblical exegesis in 9th century Asturias. Edited by Paolo Cherubini, Prologue by Gian Luca Potestà. Oviedo: Principality of Asturias-Impronta Ediciones, 2023.

18:30. Gian Luca Potestà (Università del Sacro Cuore, Milan). Beato di Liébana interprete dell'Apocalisse: dall'imminenza del Regno all'imminenza della fine*.
