Gijón's archaeological heritage is presented through three main axes: the history of archaeological research in Gijón/Xixón, the history of Gijón/Xixón through archaeology and the public's perception of this history (and of archaeology itself). We are thus talking about the perceived heritage, the useful heritage and the heritage of identity. The exhibition includes more than 200 pieces, from Prehistory to the Civil War, from 45 archaeological sites in Gijón, fundamental for the knowledge of the history of the city.
