The archaeological intervention carried out in 2020 in the La Cerrosa-Lagaña cave (Suarías, Peñamellera Baja) has positioned thisarchaelogical site as one of the most important ritual spaces of the Asturian Iron Age. The study of its human and faunal remains, together with that of the objects found there (weapons, ornaments and ceramic vessels) completes our knowledge about Protohistory in Asturias and about ritual practices in underground spaces in the Cantabrian area.
